About the Role:The Adolescent Medicine Physician will work collaboratively with our Medical and Deputy Medical Directors to ensure the delivery of primary and reproductive health care to young people is developed and managed in accordance with our mission, strategic direction, and business position.
Responsibilities:- Providing direct care to patients in our busy interdisciplinary Adolescent Health Center, including primary and specialty adolescent and young adult health care, reproductive health services, and LGBTQ care.
- Teaching and precepting adolescent medicine fellows, pediatric residents, and Icahn School of Medicine medical students in the outpatient setting.
- Participating in research opportunities, including an NIH-funded long-term study of HPV and quality assurance projects.
- Developing new programs and participating on medical school/hospital committees.
- MD degree with Board Eligible/Certification in Family Medicine or Pediatrics.
- Adolescent Medicine board certification or eligibility.
- New York Medical License.
- Commitment to Mount Sinai's vision, mission, and approach to patient-centric care.
- Passion for working with young people and a commitment to understanding and solving their needs.
- Experience in building systems of care for vulnerable populations, particularly adolescents and young adults.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
