We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Educarional Director to join Eco-Tots Early Learning Center in Hanover, MD. Our thriving learning center is located in a safe and nurturing environment.
About the JobThe ideal candidate will have experience in managing daily classroom operations, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and curriculum, coordinating meal services, and providing general care to children between 2-4 years old.
- Manage and coordinate daily classroom activities, including planning and preparation of educational materials and resources.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of children, promoting cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of educational programs and activities.
- Ensure the physical environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive schedule of activities and lessons that stimulate children's curiosity and encourage exploration.
- Evaluate children's performance to identify areas for improvement and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Communicate regularly with parents through updates on their child's progress and engage them in the educational process.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, progress, and achievements.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, empathy, and cooperation among children and staff.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and teaching methodologies to enhance instructional quality.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a childcare educator or administrator.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- A valid first aid and CPR certification.
- A 90-Hour Certification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
Compensation:
- $20-$25 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
