Media Archive Specialist

At Syndicatebleu, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Media Archive Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the preservation of film history while working hands-on with a vast collection of physical media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage archival workflows, including inventory creation, reconciliation, and cataloging.
  • Handle moving image media, including film inspection, repair, and preparation for scanning.
  • Rehouse physical media and assign storage locations within the Film Archives and Image Archives departments.
  • Support preservation and digitization initiatives by conducting research using in-house data and external sources.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience working with moving image archival collections.
  • Bachelors Degree is Required; Advanced degrees such as Moving Image Archiving, Library Science, or related areas are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of best archival practices for handling, storage, and care of moving image media.
  • Must sign an NDA and adhere to all security measures to protect intellectual property.
