We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team at California Medical Business Services. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job Summary:The X-Ray Technologist will be responsible for preparing patients for radiologic procedures, protecting patients, self, and other staff from radiation hazards, and taking X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. This includes setting up and operating radiographic equipment, implementing infection control procedures, and maintaining required records.
Responsibilities:- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Protects patients, self, and other staff from radiation hazards, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Takes X-rays following established procedures, using radiographic equipment to capture high-quality images.
- Positions patients and takes X-rays of specific body parts as requested by physicians, ensuring accurate and clear images.
- Processes film, checks X-rays for clarity, and retakes when necessary.
- Distributes X-rays to appropriate medical staff, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Maintains required records, including patient records, daily log books, and monthly reports.
- Performs quantity and quality control checks to ensure X-ray units meet standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies.
- Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, determining equipment repairs when necessary.
- Maintains radiographic supplies, film, and orders as needed.
- Three years of experience as an X-ray technician, preferably in a medical practice environment.
- Associate's degree in radiological technology from an accredited X-ray technician program.
- California Radiologic Technologist registration required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration required.
- Fluoroscopy License.
