Job Overview

At Skyline Transport, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair air brake systems, tire repairs, driveline, steering & suspension, electrical trouble-shooting, and AC systems
  • Work with and assist other technicians in diagnostics and repairs
  • Comply with Safety and EPA procedures

Requirements:

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Must be physically able to perform manual work (lift 50 lbs minimum)
  • Must be able to document repairs on the computer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid CDL driver's license and ability to meet Class A driving qualifications or ability to obtain one
  • 6 months to 1 year minimum of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience
