Surgical Operations Lead

Job Summary:

Scripps Health is seeking a skilled RN Lead to join our team at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of patient care within the Care Unit on a per shift basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate patient care within the Care Unit on a per shift basis
  • Circulate in cases and function as the Care Unit expert, providing functional direction to members of the Patient Care team
  • Work directly with Physicians and monitor that their needs in the OR are being met
  • Collaborate with SPD and supply chains to ensure the needs are met for surgical cases

Requirements:

  • Three years of Nursing experience, with one or more years of experience in the Operating Room
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification
  • Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English
  • Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with system Epic
  • Two or more years of experience in the OR
