Job Description:

The Polysomnographic Technologist-Level I performs a range of sleep disorder center procedures, including sleep data analysis and report generation, diagnostic polysomnograms, CPAP, Bi level, and oxygen titration polysomnograms, and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, in accordance with community and national standards.

The ideal candidate will assist the Sleep Center manager/director in daily operations, including scheduling, answering phones, and other duties as directed. Staff education and training may also be required. A safe environment of care must be maintained while providing quality services for all customers.

The Sleep Disorder Specialist provides physical and supportive care and sleep-related health education to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications:
  • Nationally registered in polysomnography with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists - BRPT, or the American Academy of Sleep Medicine - AASM required, or a licensed RCP
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • Graduate of an accredited polysomnography program or respiratory therapy program preferred
  • 1 year technical experience working in a sleep lab/center preferred
  • Experience scoring sleep studies, preferred
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree required. If there is no Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree, a high school diploma or equivalent is required
Estimated Salary:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
