As a key member of our Documentation department, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and submission of export and import manifests, as well as coordinating with customers and other functional departments to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and manage the workload distribution and activities of staff, providing support and coverage when necessary.
- Deliver training and development programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Review and analyze service failures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage Bill of Lading related exceptions, including At Risk customers and payment-related issues.
- Complete ad-hoc customer reports and miscellaneous assignments as required.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Letters of Credit and OOCL Documentation guidelines.
