Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Healthcare Program Supervisor to join our team at the City of New York, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. This role is responsible for supervising nursing staff and overseeing the implementation of home visiting programs aimed at improving maternal and child health outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise nursing staff and conduct quality assurance visits to ensure adherence to protocols and standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new staff members.
  • Track visiting rates and staff fidelity to the home visiting protocol.
  • Provide group and reflective supervision to nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with program team members to identify and establish relationships with referral partners and other agencies providing services to pregnant and parenting families.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid New York state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • A baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited college and a master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Four years of recent experience in public health or hospital nursing, including 18 months in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
