Culinary Specialist

Job Summary:

The Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to residents, patients, employees, and visitors at Masonicare Health Center. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review menus and production sheets to ensure accurate food preparation and presentation.
• Prepare and cook meals according to approved recipes and department standards.
• Ensure all food products are within safe serving temperatures and meet quality, freshness, taste, and appearance standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including equipment and utensils.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute meal services and catering events.
• Report any concerns or issues related to food quality, safety, or equipment to the appropriate manager.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; vocational school or technical training preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in large-volume cooking, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions in English and perform basic mathematical skills.
