Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is committed to providing high-quality patient care, and we are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in an exciting part-time evening shift role. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences. In addition, they will have the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks efficiently, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are properly prepared for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, including explaining procedures and positioning them correctly.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize various imaging equipment, such as CR and PRID systems, to produce high-quality images and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Quality Control: Regularly check and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and adhere to quality control standards.
- Patient Safety: Assess patients for potential pain or discomfort during imaging procedures and take necessary actions to alleviate their concerns.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information, examination results, and any notable findings or issues.
Requirements:
- Certifications: Possess current certifications from the American Registry of Registered Technologists (ARRT) and be licensed by the State of Illinois to practice and administer radiation.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a hospital setting.
Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: $54,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
