Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at QUICK USA Inc. as a Bridge Engineer Bilingual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with development teams and 3rd party vendors to ensure design and architecture are aligned with business and system requirements.
  • Translate customer's business requirements into architectural solutions and documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership to the software development team responsible for user interfaces, business workflows, web services, middleware, databases, and infrastructure.
  • Examine and evaluate current systems, designing solutions for system enhancements.
  • Lead small to medium projects, researching issues reported by customers and providing resolutions.
  • Review and approve detailed designs created by partners, liaising with users to track additional requirements and features.
  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources for maintenance enhancements.
  • Validate changes by testing programs, performing current state analysis of existing business systems, applications, and functions.
  • Become knowledgeable about core business functions, processes, and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
  • Master core systems, architectures, and applications, demonstrating the ability to liaise between business and technical departments.
  • Perform Ad-Hoc reporting and report support as necessary, creating customized reports and extracts based on data provided by various teams.
  • Identify opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes.
  • Consolidate information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality, being on call 24x7 for level one production issues.
Requirements
  • Core competencies of the position are communication, consultation, ethical practice, multitasking, attention to detail, global and cultural awareness, and relationship management.
  • Documentation skills including non-functional requirements, functional requirements, business rules, business processes, basic design, functional design, and technical design are required.
  • Expert knowledge of the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) and/or Product Development Life-Cycle (PDLC) is necessary.
  • Development of overall change management strategy is required.
  • Experience in Agile/Waterfall methodologies and web product design is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Experience or background in business analysis, requirements definition, building systems solutions, and deployment of business requirements is required.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, is necessary.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#, is required.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is necessary.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment is required.
  • Detail-oriented and customer service focus are essential.
  • Good organizational skills, able to assemble and present information clearly, are necessary.
  • Balance multiple priorities successfully, troubleshooting ability, and organization skills and communication expertise complimented by a technology background are preferred.
  • Bilingual (Japanese and English) is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience implementing technical solutions, enterprise level software development experience, design writing experience, software implementation and support experience, and experience with various software development methodologies are required.
  • BA/BS in analytics, informatics, computer science, or business and/or equivalent experience is preferred.
