We are seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team at The Lodge at Vista View in Oregon City. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our residents.

The successful candidate will have a caring and responsible demeanor, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality care and have a strong commitment to patient safety, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments according to scheduled times and medication administration protocol
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation of medication records and resident charts
  • Notify Resident Care Coordinator/Executive Director/RN of resident changes in condition
  • Assist with monthly medication records as needed
  • Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cart
  • Have knowledge of and demonstrate proper technique for various medical equipment, including gait belts, transfer boards, and oxygen equipment
  • Take accurate vital signs and weights
  • Fill-in for receptionist and caregiver as directed by Executive Director/Resident Care Coordinator
  • Work as manager on duty as directed by Executive Director/Resident Care Coordinator
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff

Requirements:

  • High school graduate preferred
  • Proficiency in English required
  • Attends in-services monthly required for position
  • Familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population
