Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is a leading provider of environmental consulting services. As a Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering projects that improve the nation's infrastructure and protect the environment.
Job OverviewThis position offers a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen. You will be responsible for managing complex water resource projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your duties will include:
- Performing advanced engineering design tasks on complex water resource projects;
- Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support design and assessment of surface water systems and infrastructure;
- Developing and reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic models and performing simulations;
- Managing water resource related projects and tasks;
- Pursuing client management and business development opportunities.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, Water Resources, or Biosystems Engineering (or related field);
- Professional Engineer licensed in Arizona or able to obtain an AZ license;
- 6+ years of water resources engineering experience;
- Experience mentoring and managing staff.
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation;
- Strong experience with hydrologic and hydraulic processes and expertise in modeling these processes;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, or other standard water resources software;
- Familiarity with applications of Low Impact Development, Green Infrastructure, and/or Nature-Based Solutions;
- Experience working effectively in a team environment.
The salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. CEC also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and tuition reimbursement.
