Job Description

At Micron Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Cost Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Global Procurement team, you will play a critical role in delivering best-in-class total cost and supply chain resiliency through groundbreaking predictive capabilities, risk analysis, and a focus on sustainability and diversity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cost models and databases to support procurement decisions.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize cost data related to tool installation, cleanroom-specific MEP works, and other construction-related projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to benchmark costs across sites and regions, and create should-cost models for areas including labor and materials.
  • Design and implement systems to improve cost data collection and analysis, expediting the decision-making process.
  • Build relationships across the organization to support data collection, system development, and benchmarking processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field, such as Civil, Building & Quantity Survey, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant project experience in cost management, QS, tool installation, pricing, category, or business analytics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, digital literacy, and experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including the use of analytic toolsets and financial targets to incorporate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and benchmarking concepts.
  • Experience in carrying out should-cost (cost estimate) methodology.
  • Strong communication, consulting, interpersonal, presentation, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
