Sift Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to contribute to the development of our data-driven solutions. Our team relies on data to drive business decisions, and we need someone with strong expertise in data modeling and modern data platforms to help us achieve our goals.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data pipelines and workflow orchestration tools, with experience in designing and implementing data architectures that meet business requirements. A strong background in Python and libraries such as pandas, NumPy, dask, polars, etc. is essential for this role.

The Data Engineer will work closely with business and analytics experts to identify process improvements and design infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. Experience with relational databases, Linux, and shell scripting is also required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Infrastructure Design: Design and implement infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources.
  • Collaboration: Work with business and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems and assist with data-related technical issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure timely processing of daily batch processes and maintain high data quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in Python, pandas, NumPy, dask, polars, Git, relational databases, Linux, and shell scripting.
  • Cloud Computing: Experience with AWS cloud-based services, especially Athena, EC2, RDS, Lambda, and cloud-based data warehousing tools such as Snowflake.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
