Facilities Operations Manager for Archdiocesan Properties

The Archdiocese of Baltimore is a dynamic institution serving 1,300 families and hosting various liturgies and events across five campuses, including Saint Mary's Cemetery. As Facilities Operations Manager for Archdiocesan Properties, you will oversee maintenance operations to ensure the safety and efficiency of these facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily facility safety by conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate building service workers and contractors to maintain a smooth operation.
  • Inspect custodial services performed by third-party providers and communicate special needs to enhance overall quality.
  • Respond promptly to requests from administration and faculty for custodial services during the day.
  • Assist in setting up and preparing facilities for special activities and events.
  • Maintain and inventory janitorial and housekeeping supplies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement scheduled cleanings to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Perform regular maintenance and upkeep on all equipment to prevent breakdowns.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A self-motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Able to honor and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with staff and volunteers.
  • Able to lift 25lbs consistently and up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Prior experience in facilities maintenance, grounds, and general maintenance is highly desirable.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
