Heavy Duty Truck Parts Sales Specialist

Job Description
The Heavy Duty Truck Parts Sales Specialist will be the face of our dealership, engaging with customers and driving the success of our parts department. This key role involves selling products and services for truck repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and fulfilling requests. As a vital member of our team, you will pull parts for customers, handle returns, and contribute to merchandise displays. Your commitment to superior customer service extends to promptly greeting customers, resolving concerns to their satisfaction, and upholding ethical business practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sell products for the repair of trucks according to customers' needs
• Sell services for the repair of trucks to meet customer needs
• Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers
• Answer customer inquiries
• Fulfill customer requests
• Sell additional parts and services by recognizing opportunities to up-sell
• Follow prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the dealership
• Pull parts for customers
• Receive returns from customers
• Assist in keeping parts department clean and orderly
• Record all sales and/or customer transactions
• Assist Parts Manager with merchandise displays
• Maintain the retail sale floor and displays to meet or exceed the dealership's standards and customer satisfaction
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks that maintain and enhance the cleanliness of products and the retail sales area
• Use dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently
Customer Service Expectations:
• Greet customers immediately in a courteous manner
• Assist in resolving customer complaints and concerns and ensures the problem is corrected to the customer and dealership's satisfaction
• Treat customers fairly and honestly and demonstrates company's commitment to superior customer service and ethical business practices
Requirements:
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Three years or more experience with heavy-duty trucks and parts
• OEM Dealer experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of truck engines, transmissions, and rear axles
• Knowledge of after-market vendors
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and mechanical parts
• Proficient in relevant computer applications
• Required language proficiency to effectively communicate with customers
• Experience in customer service environment preferred
• Data Entry and strong typing skills preferred
• Ability to effectively listen
• Ability to interpret customer needs
• Self-motivated
