Fusion Solutions, a leading staffing agency in the US, is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team in Christiansburg, VA. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the production of high-quality products for the automotive industry.

Job Summary

We are offering a competitive salary of $13.50-$15.50 per hour, depending on experience, to assemble and inspect various components and products. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of production equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues to ensure smooth production operations
  • Operate production machinery and computers to assemble and inspect components
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S standards
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and job safety analysis (JSA)
  • Provide training to other contractors on various topics as assigned and maintain required training and certifications
  • Work collaboratively with the team to optimize output quality, assist others when needed, and promote safety awareness
  • Inspect and remove products from the line to ensure quality standards
  • Prolonged standing, repetitive motion, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
  • Reading and comprehending instructions for daily tasks
  • Helping out other departments as needed
Working Conditions

This position requires working indoors with occasional heavy lifting. You may be exposed to elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, oils, lights, and noises.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Correctable vision to 20/20
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds to waist height and 30 pounds to shoulder height
  • Hand manipulation of materials, tools, keyboards, and other work items
  • Mobility over wide floor areas and ability to negotiate stairs
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment
