**Overview**

As a social media intern at the American Heart Association, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various facets of social media management. This internship will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a non-profit environment.

The American Heart Association's internship program is designed to provide college students with the opportunity to gain professional experience while working directly with our digital team. You will be responsible for creating compelling content for our state social channels, monitoring results, and analyzing findings.

**Responsibilities**

- Work with the digital team to craft and execute social media posts for Facebook, X, and Instagram.

- Monitor results of social media content on key platforms and provide analysis of findings.

- Source new content ideas and monitor trends on social platforms.

- Conduct an analysis of what other organizations and brands are doing on social media and present findings to the digital team.

**Qualifications**

- Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in marketing, public health with experience with a strong background in social media and graphic design.

- Knowledge and experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, X, and Instagram.

- Knowledge and experience with social media scheduling tools, such as Sprinklr or similar.

- Basic video, graphic design, and writing skills. Canva or similar experience preferred.

- Experience with social media monitoring, reporting, and analysis.

- Ability to deal professionally in a corporate or non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding projects and programs from inception through completion.

- Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

- Required Equipment: Reliable WiFi Connection.
