Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Joint & Spine Surgical Coordinator, you will establish effective communication with physician offices, hospital departments, staff, and rehabilitation services to ensure seamless continuum of care for joint replacement/spinal fusion patients and families.

You will be responsible for coordinating postoperative follow-up calls, addressing patient questions and concerns, and collaborating with multidisciplinary team members on performance improvement initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include developing education for orthopedic staff, providing total joint and spinal fusion education classes for patients, and completing nurse leader rounding.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years' experience working with joint & spine patients required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or Compact license holder.
  • BLS certification required.
