High-Paying Travel Nursing Opportunity for OR RNs

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team in Midland, Texas. This is a travel nursing opportunity that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
About the JobThis position requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant. As an OR Travel Nurse, you will assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, providing pre- and post-surgery care, and educating patients on their treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Provide basic bedside care and administer prescribed medication
- Serve as a communication liaison between patients' family members and operating team members
- Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient
- Initiate patient education plans and teach patients how to manage medication and home care needs
In addition to these responsibilities, Circulating OR Nurses may also be expected to:
- Respond to comfort and safety needs of patients
- Carefully handle specimens and monitor equipment used during surgery
- Inventory surgical items pre- and post-procedure
Scrub OR Nurses may also be responsible for:
- Handling and preparing surgical instruments and supplies
- Inventorying surgical items pre- and post-procedure
RN First Assistants may also perform duties such as:
- Assisting physicians with direct surgical care
- Helping control bleeding and suturing patients after surgery
- ACLS, BLS, NIH certification
- 2 Years of experience in acute care setting
