Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Data Governance Lead to join our team at Northwest Bank. In this role, you will lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of key Data Governance processes, ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy data policies and processes, including workflow for data ingestion, quality, master data, and life cycle management.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of functionalities within Data Governance tools and technologies to execute the program framework.
  • Curate operational documentation to support usage of Data Governance Tools and Technologies across the organization.
  • Ensure that all data assets adhere to appropriate policy and standards.
  • Lead an end-to-end data lifecycle management approach.
  • Apply data governance frameworks, including data management definitions.
  • Translate business rules to data quality rules and implement those rules.
  • Investigate data quality issues and develop solutions to remediate them.
  • Facilitate regular sessions with business partners to identify critical data assets.
  • Monitor data quality process, apply remediation plans, and manage strategies.
  • Develop and maintain program-level metrics and reporting.
  • Showcase tool functionality through product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with the Training Department to refine enterprise training content.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Informatics, or a related field.
  • 5-6 years of experience in data governance or quality management, information architecture, and governance design and implementation.
  • Experience in banking and finance industry with a focus on bank operations and regulatory environment.
  • Effective communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience in managing enterprise data assets, Master Data Management technology landscape, and use of meta-data management tools.
  • Able to analyze complex situations and adjust to multiple demands.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Data Governance certification is preferred.

Salary:$120,000 - $160,000 per year
