LittleStar ABA Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a Recreational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing community-based services to families in surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct recreational therapy assessments to determine individualized goals and create treatment plans.
- Implement and track data on recreational therapy sessions, reporting progress to the treatment team.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients and families, adhering to LittleStar policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with families, clients, and the Waiver Services Director to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other members of the client's treatment team.
- Hold a minimum bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Be certified as a CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).
- Possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification annually.
- Have a clear criminal record, as per Medicaid Waiver regulation requirements.
- Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD).
