Job Summary

Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Leader to join our team. As a key member of our ambulatory care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our clinical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support the provider staff and promote efficient operation and quality care.
  • Precept new employees and act as a mentor to the clinical staff.
  • Provide patient assessment and participate in the development of education for all staff members.
  • Assess clinical competency and participate in the evaluation process of the clinical staff.
  • Work with patients and their families as an advocate for health maintenance and promote a positive public image.
  • Provide consultations and requests consults as directed and in accordance with hospital bylaws.
  • Assist with and facilitate discharge planning.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association required.
  • Valid, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
