Job Summary

The HVAC Installation Lead position at Toms Mechanical Inc involves overseeing the installation of home comfort systems in residential homes. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a strong understanding of HVAC technology and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Installs Home Comfort Systems: You will be responsible for properly installing home comfort systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Leads Installation Teams: As the lead installer, you will oversee the installation process, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior technicians to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintains Quality Standards: You will be expected to maintain the highest level of quality in all aspects of the installation process, from preparation to completion.
  • Communicates Effectively: Excellent communication skills are essential in this role, as you will need to interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that everyone is informed and up-to-date throughout the installation process.
  • Ensures Safety Protocols: Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all safety protocols are followed during the installation process, protecting both yourself and others from harm.

Requirements

  • EPA Certification: You must hold a valid EPA certification and be knowledgeable about refrigerant handling and safety procedures.
  • TDLR License: A valid TDLR license is required for this position, and you must be able to pass a background check.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC installation.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands of this role include being able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and climb ladders safely.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package also includes flexible scheduling, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Work Environment

As an HVAC Installation Lead, you will spend most of your time working outdoors in various weather conditions, so it's essential to be comfortable in these environments. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
