Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Scan Technologist to join our team at the University of Miami Hospital. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and examine orders for CT scans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify patient information and obtain necessary consents.
  • Operate CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Collate and label processed images, and transmit them to PACS.
  • Charge procedures and supplies in UChart/Radiant.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast media.
  • Perform basic nursing functions, such as assisting with bedpans and emesis basins.
  • Provide patient care and education, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Assume care for physical and psychological needs of patients during scanning procedures.
  • Perform CPR as needed, and keep work areas clean and sanitary.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a relevant field.
  • ARRT registration.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
