About the Role

">

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Merchandise Specialist to manage sales, inventory, and performance of agricultural and horticultural merchandise in our Neerabup, WA location. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with store management, agronomists, and sales teams to provide merchandise support, including stock takes, retail operations improvements, on-farm meetings, technical information, and mentoring.

You will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, developing pricing strategies, overseeing stock levels, and conducting marketing initiatives to maintain our competitive position. Additionally, you will monitor and analyze market trends, climatic, and seasonal considerations to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sales, inventory, and performance of agricultural and horticultural merchandise">
  • Work closely with store management, agronomists, and sales teams to provide merchandise support">
  • Negotiate with suppliers and develop pricing strategies">
  • Oversight of stock levels and management of branch P&L">
  • Conduct marketing initiatives to maintain competitive position">
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, climatic, and seasonal considerations">
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong technical background with experience in a similar role">
  • Experience in pricing and margin management and sales target achievement through effective category development">
  • Ability to network and identify opportunities for business development">
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long-term relationships">
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal">
  • Exposure to SAP ERP and strong MS Excel skills for reporting">
  • Current driver's license (essential) and forklift and heavy rigid license (desirable)">
  • Possess a sound understanding of market trends, climatic, and seasonal considerations">
