Pediatric Nurse Caregiver

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Inpatient Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to children in our 10-bed unit at Monroe Carell Junior Children's Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center. As a key member of our pediatric team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities listed below are a general overview of the position:
- Provide comprehensive family-centered care to pediatric patients
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine medical needs and monitor progress
- Collaborate with pediatric hospitalists and child life specialists to develop individualized care plans
- Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families
- Maintain hospital and unit-specific competencies
- Advocate for the needs and best interests of pediatric patients

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience and hold current certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI). We also require completion of courses offered through the hospital within 6 months of hire.
