Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technologist to join our team at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. As an Endoscopy Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for endoscopy procedures, assisting physicians during procedures, and documenting patient information accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures, including assembling and providing necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, following manufacturer's instructions for use of equipment and supplies.
- Document patient information accurately, including lab paperwork and patient medical records.
- Clean and disinfect the endoscopy suite between cases and daily, following manufacturer's instructions and center policies.
- Respond to other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate
- 1-3 years similar experience in an endoscopy setting
- BLS / ACLS Certified, as applicable
- Ability to make sound, reasonable decisions
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change
- Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tact
- Highly organized with ability to concentrate on many detailed requests
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to develop excellent working relationships with physicians and center staff
- Maintains regular attendance
