Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Career Development Specialist to join our team at Arbor E&T LLC DBA Equus Workforce Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting with participants to identify barriers to employment and develop strategies to manage these issues.

Key Responsibilities

Meet with participants to identify barriers to employment and develop strategies to manage these issues

Maintain complete, accurate and timely case notes and related records in manual and or electronic systems

Conduct outreach to referrals who fail to show for appointment

Determine eligibility, enter data and manage cases

Conduct orientations for outreach purposes

Maintain contact with customers and employers for work experience activities

Assist with guidance for vocational training activities, support services needs

Create, update and ensure completion of plans according to contract deadlines

Attend scheduled supervision meetings to discuss participants progress

Requirements

Strong communication skills

Knowledge about community resources

Ability to work with and relate to participants and be culturally sensitive

Strong organizational skills

Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Word and Excel

Ability to learn specialized databases and software systems

Bilingual a plus

Bachelor's degree in a related field or satisfactory equivalent of education and experience
