Description

The Commercial Lending Assistant will provide administrative support to the Vice President of Commercial and Business Services, Commercial Lending Manager, Business Relationship Officers, and Business Loan Officers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative assistance to Commercial & Business Services Management, Business Relationship Officers, and Business Loan Officers.
  • Gather information to efficiently process transactions and requests, verifying accuracy of loan application and closing documents.
  • Assist with loan approval credit memos for new and renewal loan requests, including ordering credit reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of current lending policies, procedures, and regulations, identifying policy exceptions and reporting to management.
  • Complete monthly board reports and create formulated Excel spreadsheets for reporting, creating Helpdesk tickets for report corrections.
  • Assist with gathering financial and corporate documents from members for initial credit review, drafting letters and agreements as needed.
  • Order construction inspections and coordinate funding of construction draw requests with members, working within established criteria to approve draws and maintain construction draw files.
  • Disburse loan funds, preparing cashier's checks, official loan checks, and initiating wire transfers for loan closings.
  • Assist Business Loan Officers with past due loans and maturing loans.
  • Review exception/tickler reports for Business Loan Officers and assist in clearing items.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting deadlines.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task regularly.

Experience:

Three to five years of similar or related experience, with a background in commercial compliance or prior commercial loan assistance a plus.

Education:

Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience in commercial or business lending preferred.

Rate:

Minimum $20 per hour + Comprehensive Benefits Package
