About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cardiology Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. As a lead technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our diagnostic services department, ensuring the highest level of patient care and quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior technicians, promoting a positive work environment and fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established protocols and standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Patient Care: Expertly perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (12-lead EKGs), Holter monitor exams, and stress tests, providing accurate results and timely communication to physicians and patients.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between management, staff, and physicians, resolving routine matters and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; two years' experience as a technician performing electrocardiograms, Holter monitor applications, and stress tests preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: EKG certification from a recognized organization (e.g., NHA, CCI, ACA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
