Job Description

Palermo Rhodes is seeking a skilled CAD Detailer/Drafter to join their team and contribute to exciting projects that showcase innovation and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed shop fabrication and erection drawings for miscellaneous metals, stairways, and railings.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to address design challenges, detailing needs, and site conditions.
  • Ensure design issues are identified and resolved before fabrication to promote project success.
  • Prepare accurate as-built drawing sets and submit timely Requests for Information (RFIs) and approval drawings.
  • Liaise effectively with contractors and architects to ensure the production of precise drawings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in detailing miscellaneous metals, stairways, railings, and decorative steel using AutoCAD.
  • Strong proficiency in steel construction detailing, including a solid understanding of codes, material finishes, and shop preferences.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify and rectify design discrepancies early in the process.
  • Advanced 2D drafting skills in AutoCAD, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret field dimensions and collaborate with project managers to clarify any discrepancies.
  • Effective communication skills to foster collaboration across the detailing and fabrication processes.
