Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Tester position at Fuse Technical Group is an entry-level opportunity in our audio-visual equipment warehouse. This role involves equipment testing and cleaning, learning technical functionality and uses of equipment for events and productions, and warehouse organization and loading and unloading equipment as needed.

This position reports to and supports the Operations Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Inspection: Review incoming audio-visual equipment by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting unacceptable equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Confirm products are in working order by verifying specifications and completing physical checks to ensure all parts and pieces are accounted for.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing any troubleshooting, and entering data into RW database using asset module notes.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and reporting malfunctions to the department lead.
  • Knowledge Development: Begin familiarizing yourself with all equipment to identify and organize inventory within your location.
  • Professional Growth: Participate in educational opportunities, read technical publications, and update job knowledge to stay current with industry developments.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks assigned by the Operations Manager or department lead.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Effective Communication: Ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse backgrounds and team members.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with audio-visual equipment and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, sit or stand for long periods, and perform physical movements such as bending, crouching, kneeling, pulling, pushing, sitting, standing, and walking.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Work Location: In-person, with potential remote work opportunities available.
