Job Summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a patient-centric role. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the dispensing of medications and processing of prescriptions
  • Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues
  • Operate pharmacy systems, including entering patient and drug information, and processing transactions
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
  • Prefer good math skills for accurate filling of prescriptions
  • Prefer good computer skills
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control
  • Prefer PTCB certification
