About This Position

The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and sustainability of our organization through strategic partnerships. This position requires a dynamic individual with a passion for social impact, strong business acumen, and exceptional relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop plans to maximize and expand current program contracts in partnership with the Contracts and Grants Manager.
  2. Explore new services and programs aligned with the organization's mission and responsive to community needs.
  3. Identify, cultivate, and secure strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, government agencies, and other nonprofits.
  4. Nurture relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction with existing and prospective business partners.
  5. Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts, ensuring clear terms and expectations for both parties.
  6. Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, tracking key metrics and outcomes to assess impact and inform future strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in partnership development, business development, or a related field, preferably within the education or nonprofit sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of achieving goals and driving impact.
  • Knowledge of child development, early childhood education, or related fields.

Job Specifications
  • Reports to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives.
  • Exempt, full-time, year-round position.
  • Eight-hour workday, four-day workweek.

$95,000 - $115,000 per year
