Clinical Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The Clinical Support Specialist provides administrative and direct patient care support to the Ambulatory Services department under the direction of the Practice Manager. This role involves taking vital signs, drawing blood, and documenting patient information in the electronic health record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take adult and pediatric vital signs, including height and weight, blood pressure, and visual acuity
- Draw blood accurately and document patient information
- Provide administrative support to the Ambulatory Services department
- Interact with administrative, medical staff, and patients
Employment Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
- BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association
- Certified Medical Assistant required
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Organizational and problem-solving skills
