Job Summary
We are seeking an Executive Director, Sales to lead and motivate an ultra-rare sales team focusing on identifying new patients and ensuring access to our treatments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams in rare and/or ultra-rare disease states, with deep understanding of market dynamics, patient access, and regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives
- Lead, develop, and coach Regional Business Directors to build high-performing sales individuals and teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key immunologists, healthcare providers, or other stakeholders who treat rare diseases
- Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities, identifying risks and opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life science, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with experience in rare disease sales preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in launching new pharmaceutical products and leading sales teams with consistent performance
- Deep understanding of patient journey in rare diseases, including diagnosis, treatment options, and barriers to access
- Strong ability to analyze data to identify business opportunities and mitigate risks
- Strong leadership, team-building skills, and ability to develop talent
