Supportive Care Specialist

As a Supportive Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering world-class person-centered care to our clients.
About the RoleWe are seeking highly motivated and compassionate individuals who share our mission of providing exceptional support and advocacy to our clients. In this per diem role, you will have the flexibility to work on a part-time basis, choosing from a variety of shifts that fit your lifestyle.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing Support and Advocacy: You will work closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and preferences, promoting their independence and self-determination.
- Delivering Person-Centered Care: Our supportive approach focuses on empowering our clients to live fulfilling lives, making informed decisions, and exercising their rights.
- Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Environment: You will ensure that our clients' daily needs are met, including personal hygiene, food preparation, house cleaning, shopping, and monitoring of health needs.
- Fostering Community Integration: We encourage our clients to participate in various activities, outings, and events that promote socialization and a sense of belonging.
In addition to these key responsibilities, you will also:
- Assist participants with regularly accessing the community to take part in a variety of outings of their choosing.
- Attend staff meetings as required by the Program Supervisor or the Site Supervisor and/or Administrator.
- Take part in the development and implementation of the Individual Instruction and Support Plan (IISP) for each participant.
- Maintain professional working relationships with other service providers, the participants' parents/relatives/guardians, and other agency staff.
- Responsible for timely completion of all documentation, including shift notes, progress notes, data sheets, incident reports, and client financial records.

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Both written and spoken English language proficiency
- High School Diploma / Equivalent
- Washington State Driver's License, a Reliable Vehicle, Auto Insurance, and must be willing to transport clients
- Must be located in & eligible/authorized to work in the United States
- Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- Nurse Assistant Registered (NAR)
- CPI certification (preferred)
- Blood Borne Pathogen certification
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Be fully vaccinated from Covid-19 (or have an approved exemption)
