Chess Instructor

We're seeking a skilled Chess Tutor to join our after-school enrichment program at Chess Wizards.

Candidates should have a passion for teaching and a strong foundation in chess. The ideal candidate will be able to make the game fun and engaging for children, while also cultivating their problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading interactive and fun chess classes for 10-15 kids
• Implementing Chess Wizard's curriculum and class materials
• Maintaining promptness and punctuality
• Ensuring adherence to CDC, School, and Chess Wizards COVID-19 prevention practices

• Competitive Pay: $55 per hour and a half session
• Flexible Hours: Between 1 to 5 one-hour classes per week in the afternoon

Requirements:

• Some chess ability Champion level is not required, just a great attitude
• USCF rating is a plus
• Teaching/tutoring/camp counselor experience is a plus

• The sincere drive to be a positive role model and promote good sportsmanship
• Capability to drive between locations
