Job Summary

The Clinical Education Specialist will play a crucial role in influencing professional role competence and professional growth of learners in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Connecticut Children's.

Key Responsibilities
  • Onboarding and orientation of new staff members
  • Competency management and education
  • Professional role development and research
  • Collaborative partnerships with clinical employees
  • Direct patient care under general supervision
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing required
  • MSN or higher in nursing preferred
  • Minimum two years of acute care nursing experience
  • Experience in Adult Learning and program development
  • American Heart Association, or American Red Cross, Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education and experience in Professional Development/education
  • Certification in Nursing Professional Development
