We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our infusion therapy department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring seamless treatment outcomes.

Job Summary

">

The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Infusion Therapy is responsible for administering ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for completing admission processes as directed by the Center Director, performing physical assessments on patients as warranted, documenting pertinent data in medical records, and reporting significant changes or observations to the Center Director.

Responsibilities

  • Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policies and procedures.">
  • Completes admission processes as directed by the Center Director.">
  • Performs physical assessments on patients as warranted.">
  • Documents pertinent data in medical records.">
  • Reports significant changes or observations to the Center Director.">
  • Evaluates patient responses to therapy and documents findings in medical records.">
  • Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plans.">
  • Ensures that all medication orders are complete, accurate, and up-to-date prior to treatment.">
  • Understands and adheres to all applicable state, local, and Federal laws and regulations, including maintaining patient confidentiality through abiding by HIPAA laws and regulations.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Requires an ASN or ADN and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.">
  • Requires a current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.">
  • Multi-state licensure is required if this individual is providing services in multiple states.">
  • Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.">

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • ">
  • 2+ years of experience with IV preferred.">
  • Port, PICC, and Peripheral Line experienced preferred.">
  • Medication Mixing experience preferred.">
  • Titration experience preferred.">
  • BSN preferred.">
  • Multi-state license a plus.">
