About Senior PsychCare

We provide fully integrative behavioral health services to long-term care patients. Our multi-disciplinary team takes a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment, including individual, family, and group therapies.

The Patient Care/Referral Coordinator works within the Referral Department, primarily responsible for securing referral paperwork from nursing facilities and creating/maintaining schedules for psychology and psychiatry providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient insurance coverage with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial healthcare carriers
  • Obtain pre-authorizations from health insurance plans
  • Answer incoming/outgoing calls to secure referrals and authorizations from providers and insurance companies
  • Ensure timely and accurate referral management
  • Document all authorizations properly in the system
  • Scan documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Requirements:

  • Medical insurance experience
  • Ability to verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations
  • Multitasking, customer service, and teamwork skills
  • Able to work independently with a positive attitude, well-organized, and detail-oriented
