Assistant Regional Controller

Job Summary:

As an Assistant Regional Controller at Compass Group, North America, you will play a vital role in assisting with monthly, quarterly, and fiscal close processes. This includes preparing financial statements for assigned divisions or subsidiaries.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with various team members and levels of management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute billings to clients
  • Review of general ledger and balance sheet and resolve reconciliation issues
  • Track and maintain monthly P/L and balance sheet activity
  • Assist with review and reconciliation of credit card and cash transactions
  • Assist in preparation of various State and Local sales tax returns
  • Handle special projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of two years of corporate accounting experience preferably in a retail industry
  • Experience in a POS, cash, and credit card environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel required
  • Working experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP software a plus
