Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Ridgeview Institute Smyrna. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, according to approved menus and production sheets.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that ingredients and supplies are ordered and stocked as needed.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including setting up workstations and checking the quality and freshness of ingredients.
Requirements
  • At least two years of experience in quantity cooking, with a basic knowledge of modified diets and food service sanitation.
  • Training in food service sanitation and possession of a food service food handler's permit.
  • Experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils, with some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques, with attention to detail in presentation, flavor, and consistency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen, with flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
