CompensationThe salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a starting range of $80,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and background.
Job DescriptionWe're seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you'll be responsible for administering prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards.
- Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription.
- Enter data into computer and set controls to operate and adjust equipment and regulate dosage.
- Follow principles of radiation protection for patient, self, and others.
You'll work independently under the general direction of the patient's physician, conducting most treatment sessions according to the long-term treatment plan. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records will be crucial in ensuring high-quality care for our patients.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited program.
- ARRT Board Certification in Radiation Therapy or registry eligibility within three months.
- State licensure (if applicable).
