Job Description

In this role, you will work in grade-level teams and departments to push students towards being self-guided learners. You will develop subject mastery and have a keen sense of the socio-emotional changes middle school students experience.

Our History classes aim to make history come alive through engaging instructional strategies. • Teach an in-house curriculum that prioritizes diverse histories.
  • Build an inclusive and safe environment where students feel empowered to use their voices to express evidence-based opinions and perspectives.
  • Meet weekly with your principal and/or instructional coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work samples and assessments.
Requirements
  • A commitment to the mission of Uncommon Schools and investment in our vision for being an anti-racist organization.
  • A demonstrated commitment to supporting students' social emotional and academic development.
  • An enthusiasm for collaborating with internal and external partners in the best interest of students.
  • A self-directed learner who solicits and implements feedback to improve outcomes and achieve objectives.
Salary & Benefits

The starting compensation for this role is between $56,000 to $77,000, depending on relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools.
