Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
  • Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
  • Assist physician with various procedures.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain related records and notations.
  • Assist in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  • Participate in the educational training of students.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
  • Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
