Compensation and Benefits

The selected candidate can expect a competitive compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $109,000 per annum, with a quarterly performance-based bonus included. This attractive offer reflects our commitment to attracting top-tier talent and rewarding excellence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Market Positioning & Strategy: Develop and execute a growth strategy for assigned domains to achieve sales and revenue goals, enhancing the company's market position through identification, development, and closure of Federal business opportunities.
  • Opportunity Pipeline: Foster an active pipeline of opportunities by identifying both competitive targets and 8(a) sole source targets, aligning with strategic growth objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with new customers and partners while nurturing existing connections, fostering collaborative partnerships.
  • Teaming & Collaboration: Lead the selection of teaming partners for opportunities and support proposal team efforts by contributing to solution/offer development, win themes, and proposal writing strategies.
  • Proposal Management: Oversee Bid & Proposal efforts for assigned domains and collaborate with the proposal team in developing response formats and structures.
  • Research & Networking: Engage in Federal/DoD market research and networking activities, including Industry Days, Pre-proposal conferences, and gathering relevant information.
  • Travel Requirement: The role will involve approximately 25-35% travel.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a Business Development Manager or Capture Manager for a Federal/DoD contractor.
  • Proven experience in developing service-based proposals for DoD/Federal customers.
  • Strong background with federal opportunity sourcing tools such as SAM.Gov, FedConnect, Deltek GovWinIQ, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and SharePoint.
  • Strong multitasking, strategic analysis, and critical thinking skills.

Desired Skills
  • Experience with 8(a) Federal contracting methods.
  • Shipley training or knowledge.
  • Expertise in one or more areas: Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data systems, data analytics, data modernization, Professional services (e.g., SETA), Instructional design and training development/delivery, Logistics.
